Qualifying for Medicare Services

PCS services are normally reimbursed by Medicare. To qualify for coverage, Medicare requires that you meet four criteria:

1. You must have a need for skilled care.
2. Services must be intermittent and medically reasonable.
3. You must be essentially homebound
4. At your request, your physician must authorize home care services.

Many people are unaware that they may qualify for Medicare-funded home health care services. You may know a friend, neighbor or relative who could benefit from periodic home health care.

PCS and Your Doctor

The professional staff at PCS works closely with each patient’s physician by sending a written report at admission and discharge. Physicians are notified by telephone of any changes in the patient’s status.
